| Industry Day 2010 |
|
An Industry Day event occurred on July 20, 2010, in Silver Spring, MD. This program was designed to assist NOAA in identifying resources as well as inform potential qualified vendors of the NextGen Program with the best available information intended for the forthcoming Request for Proposal (RFP). One-on-one information sessions were held in the afternoon between key NOAA personnel and interested vendors following the morning presentations by key Government staff. | AirVenture Oshkosh 2010 |
| NOAA's NWS Aviation Services Branch representatives and NextGen team members participated in the Experimental Aircraft Association's (EAA) 2010 AirVenture in Oshkosh, WI, and helped staff the NOAA/NWS booth. AirVenture Oshkosh, the world’s premier aviation “fly-in,” drew more than 535,000 visitors from July 26-Aug 1 2010. NextGen specific presentations were given to pilots and other aviation interests at the AirVenture International Federal Pavilion during the week. Local news radio station WOSH also interviewed a NextGen team member for insight and background. |
