World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Headings have the format of T1T2A1A2ii CCCC. WMO super headings are used to aggregate products for the same parameter (NDGD element) and sector. These aggregate products contain individual products for all forecast periods. For these aggregate products the WMO Super Headings are consistent with those for individual NDGD products except in the super headings, the A2 is always Z. The CCCC for all EKDMOS product WMO headings is KMDL (indicating they are produced by MDL) The T1 = H, L, M, V, Y and Z for all GRIB2 WMO Headings. H = UNASSIGNED L = Conus M = Alaska V = UNASSIGNED Y = Puerto Rico Z = Hawaii The T2 indicates the elements: A = Sky Cover, A1 indicates probability category B = Wind Direction, A1 indicates probability category C = Wind Speed, A1 indicates probability category< D = UNASSIGNED E = Temperature, A1 indicates percentile F = Dew Point, A1 indicates percentile G = Daytime Maximum Temperature, A1 indicates percentile H = Nightime Minimum Temperature, A1 indicates percentile I = Quantitative Precipitation, A1 indicates probability category J = UNASSIGNED K = UNASSIGNED L = UNASSIGNED M = UNASSIGNED N = UNASSIGNED O = UNASSIGNED P = UNASSIGNED Q = UNASSIGNED R = UNASSIGNED S = Snowfall Amount, A1 indicates probability category T = UNASSIGNED U = UNASSIGNED V = UNASSIGNED W = UNASSIGNED X = UNASSIGNED Y = UNASSIGNED Z = UNASSIGNED (A1) indicates Percentile or Probability Category A = Mean B = 5th percentile or category 1 probability C = 10th percentile or category 2 probability D = 20th percentile or category 3 probability E = 30th percentile or category 4 probability F = 40th percentile or category 5 probability G = 50th percentile or category 6 probability H = 60th percentile or category 7 probability I = 70th percentile or category 8 probability J = 80th percentile or category 9 probability K = 90th percentile or category 10 probability L = 95th percentile or category 11 probability M = UNASSIGNED N = UNASSIGNED O = UNASSIGNED P = UNASSIGNED Q = UNASSIGNED R = UNASSIGNED S = UNASSIGNED T = UNASSIGNED U = UNASSIGNED V = UNASSIGNED W = UNASSIGNED X = UNASSIGNED Y = UNASSIGNED Z = UNASSIGNED (A2 and ii) indicates Reference Time Designator for products in NDGD: A = Day 0 ii = hour (0-23) B = Day 1 ii = hour (0-23) C = Day 2 ii = hour (0-23) D = Day 3 ii = hour (0-23) E = Day 4 ii = hour (0-23) F = Day 5 ii = hour (0-23) G = Day 6 ii = hour (0-23) H = Day 7 ii = hour (0-23) I = Day 8 ii = hour (0-23) J = Day 9 ii = hour (0-23) K = Day 10 ii = hour (0-23) L = Day 11 ii = hour (0-23) M = Day 12 ii = hour (0-23) N = Day 13 ii = hour (0-23) O = Day 14 ii = hour (0-23) P = UNASSIGNED Q = UNASSIGNED R = UNASSIGNED S = UNASSIGNED T = UNASSIGNED U = UNASSIGNED V = UNASSIGNED W = Weeks ii = week # (0-99)
