The EMWIN-N Request For Information (RFI) Workshop was held at NWS Headquarters in Silver Spring, MD on December 11, 2006.  The purpose of this workshop was to provide additional information to vendors interested in possibly marketing EMWIN receive systems and equipment.  The NWS provided attendees with background on the changes coming with the new generation of GOES satellites, the impact on the EMWIN system, essential specifications for receiving systems and a demonstration of a prototype system.

The workshop, which was attended by 8  vendors and many other interested persons, was well received and has generated a great deal of follow up interest.
