National Weather Service Data in Geo-referenced Image or OGC Web Service Format

This page contains web serivces that follow the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards for web services, .Three standards are supportedl - Web Mapping Services (WMS), Web Feature Services (WFS) and Web Coverage Services (WCS) A limited set of data are available at this time and the links are below..

There are an additional few data sets that are availabe as geo-referenced images.

These free programs allow the user to view OGC services.
Gaia Gaia - A viewer from The Carbon Project supporting shapefiles and OGC web services,
Udig uDig - User friendly Desktop Internet GIS. An open source free viewer for shapefiles and web services.
Esri Esri ArcGIS Explorer Desktop - Supports shapefiles, KML/KMZ, GeoTiff, and OGC Web services among others.
