Gridded Localized Aviation MOS Program

Gridded LAMP products are currently being produced in the NCEP parallel jobstream. The data and images will be made available starting September 28, 2010, with the 1200 UTC cycle. The data will be sent from NCEP to the experimental NDGD area.

Gridded forecast guidance and gridded observations are currently available for the following elements:

• 2-meter temperature observations and the associated error estimations
• 2-meter dewpoint temperature observations and the associated error estimations
• Ceiling height observations
• Visibility observations
• 2-meter temperature forecast guidance
• 2-meter dewpoint temperature forecast guidance
• Ceiling height forecast guidance
• Visibility forecast guidance
  

Additional elements will follow in time.

Beginning September 28, 2010, graphical depictions of these products will be available on the LAMP web site http://weather.gov/mdl/gfslamp/gfslamp.shtml and the data in GRIB2 format will be available for download via anonymous ftp or http access from the NWS tgftp server. The details for retrieving the data from the NWS server can be found in the table below.
