Instructions for updating: collective_table.dat  11/09/05

1. Log into the dx1 server as fxa user

2. Save a copy of the site's collective_table.dat

   cd /awips/fxa/data
   cp -p collective_table.dat collective_table.dat.{date}

3. Download the updated files from the NOAA1 sftp server

   sftp ftpawips    to noaa1
   enter password
   sftp>cd pub/ndm
   sftp>get collective_table.dat
   sftp>bye

4. Copy the collective_table.dat file to all servers and workstations

5. Stop and start ingest processes on the dx1 server by entering the commands:

   stopIngest.dx1
   startIngest.dx1

   or

   /awips/fxa/bin/killProc CollDBDecoder

The system will automatically restart the CollDBDecoder on dx1
