Instructions for updating satSpecificInfo.txt   4/5/10

This procedure is used when a GOES satellite is being replaced.

1.  download satSpecificInfo.txt from the noaa1 server.
    (noaa1 pub/ndm)

2.  Place the file in /data/fxa/nationalData/

    The file should be owned by user "fxa", group "fxalpha"

    Permissions should be 775

3.  On dx3, as user fxa, enter the command

    ${FXA_HOME}/bin/killProc SatDecoder

Done!  Verify that satellite imagery is being properly docoded.
