Instructions for updating synopticStationTable.txt  -11/05/10

Process:  The SynopticDecoder decodes the ob for the netcdf file,
thus it appears on D2D.  The synoptic decoder is on DX3.

Recommended: copy the updated synopticStationTable.txt
to /awips/fxa/data  on all machines.

Download the updated file from NOAA1 pub/ndm.

      sftp     {NOAA1}
      cd pub/ndm
      get synopticStationTable.txt
      bye

copy updated file to dx3, dx4, (and to px, etc.)

Localize (all machines recommended)

Must:     Run -station localization on dx3 (dx4 for failover)
          Run -station localization on LXs before restarting D2D.

stop and start ingest on dx3 (or kill the SynopticDecoder process 
on dx3 -- it restarts by itself)

      ssh dx3
      su -fxa

      stopIngest.dx3
      startIngest.dx3

Restart D2D
