This maps the AFOS ID to WMO data designator and AWIPS CCCC.
This file is updated by OSO to match the NWSTG switching directory. Most
accesses are not via a binary search, so this can be time consuming. It is
unknown what the afos2awips.realIds, and afos2awips.testIds files are
used for. wanMsgHnd reads in whole table at initialization;
handleOUP.pl validates an AWIPS ID using this file every time it is invoked.

This file maps AWIPS CCCC to AFOS CCC, for use by the
StdDBDecoder process to build AFOS PILS for text product storage.
(Used to decode standard text product.) While there are cases
where an AWIPS CCCC is associated with multiple AFOS CCCs,
the nature of this table means that each CCCC may map
to only one CCC. (An AFOS CCC may be associated with many AWIPS CCCCs.)

ID from the KxxxNNNXXX on the incoming product. Later it calls
distributeProduct.pl to send out the product to the world -
distributeProduct looks up the nine letter ID in afos2awips.txt to
get the WMO header. |

The entries in this table indicate the NNNs of those IDs
that are stored "with the national bit set" (an AFOS term meaning that
the user can call up the product without using the CCC because it is always
stored under the local CCC). The StdDBDecoder substitutes the local CCC

This file lists all fixed buoy stations' locations and their plotting desirability
relative to surrounding stations, used for progressive disclosure. Localization (-station)
creates /awips/fxa/data/localizationDataSets/LLL/BUOY.spi, which is used to construct the
fixed buoy stations map. (Note that any entries in maritimeStationInfo.txt not found in
BUOY.goodness will be added to BUOY.spi with an appropriate declutter factor.)

Maps the WMO data designators of the collective products with the
AFOS ID. An entry in this table directs the product to the collective
decoder, vice the standard decoder. (Both decoders read the file.) Many
entries are of the form AAAXXX; the AAA will be replaced by the
local CCC. Other entries use CCCXXX where the XXX is determined
from the product contents and the CCC is obtained from the national category
table.

products with AFOS ID. This file is processed by localization (-text
option) to produce /awips/fxa/data/localizationDataSets/LLL/
ispan_table.dat. The latter is used by StdDBDecoder as a "last resort"
to create the AFOS PIL, particularly in cases where the product origin
does not map directly to a CCC (e.g., KWBC). The file is a list of those
IDs that cannot be created from the data and their corresponding WMO IDs
and is generally based on the NWSTG switching directory.

Stations not in this list will be rejected by the application setup

the hmdb in Informix, is nationally configured, and is not to be
modified by users.

WSR-88D Hotline |
The WSR-88D Hotline and ROC, acting as agents for the respective Regions and NWSH, maintain and distribute AWIPS system-specific "radar files" for WSR-88D and TDWR/SPG access. Routine requests for changes to existing radar access permissions should be coordinated through Regional Focal Points. Emergency requests for changes to existing radar access permissions can be requested to the Hotline directly and will be subsequently coordinated with the respective Regional Focal Point by the Hotline.
