Awipsinfo List
--------------

     For a long time I have wanted to identify a single point of contact for
     the maintenance to the National Data Sets required for AWIPS.  That
     person will be Fran Curnow of the AWIPS Program Office.

     The primary goal of our plan is to provide a single point of contact
     for field users to submit their change requests; and a single point to
     coordinate activities with the developers and/or those with the
     responsibility to maintain the file.  Fran will also notify the
     requester of actions taken and status as well as provide global
     notification as appropriate.

     Fran Curnow will be the primary focal point for changes to all of the
     files and she will be the actual maintainer of some of these files.
     Jagdish Sharma will be the technical analyst who insures that changes
     are appropriate.  We will prepare and distribute shortly the change
     procedures that will be used for the maintenance of these files.  As
     you see in the list below there are specific individuals assigned for
     the maintenance of some of the files, but all requests for change
     should be directed to Fran.  She will be responsible for the changes
     to files that do yet have an "owner".  These responsibilities may
     also change in the future.

     Requests for modification(s) to any of the following files (or a file
     not yet identified) should be sent to:

     Please cc: Sylvia.Graff and James.Stenpeck so nothing gets lost.
