The first three options require a personal computer and appropriate software. The C-Band and KU-Band satellite
service options require purchase of an outdoor satellite dish
(antenna) and indoor Calypso receiver from CSC. Professional
Installation is available from CSC for an additional fee.
The INTERNET Service option is free (the only required fee is
a one-time $150 registration payable to CSC; technical/set-up
support is available from CSC for a fee).
For the first three options; software is needed
to capture, manipulate, select, and display NWWS data. NWS
supported sites use the Skytap for Weather Wire Software available
from Marta
Systems, Inc., Meteorological Systems and Services.
Windows NT or Windows 2000 are the preferred operating systems
for use with the Skytap for Weather Wire software.
The Nlets option is for state and federal government users with an existing Nlets connection. The entire NWWS feed is available from Nlets.
