NWS River Forecast Centers' areas of responsibility

 River Forecast Centers (RFCs) provide hydrologic guidance and basin-wide information.  This information serves as the basis for over 100 NWS Weather Forecast Offices (WFOs) as they prepare localized statements, outlooks, forecast, watches and warnings.  Therefore, information in this section tends to be broader, and, in some cases, more general than that provided by WFOs.
