9.  GENERATING REPORTS

After clicking on Reports, a pull down menu will appear showing each of the possible 
reports.

The E-19 is a multipage report which is a complete description of a 
forecast point.  The E-19A is a one page summary of the E-19.  The B-44A is a
simplified report of a precipitation observer not in the official climatological 
network.  List prints out a list of locations sorted by various different orders.  
Roledex prints out Roledex cards for observers and telemetered gages.  Label prints
out mailing labels for observers.  Location Id generates a station identifier request 
form.  Samples of all but the labels and rolodex reports are given in Appendix C.  
Below is a description of how the reports are printed.                
                                                                                  

  E-19:
    After selecting E-19, a large dialog box will appear asking what pages to print out.
    Click on each page you want to print or click on the all box to print all pages.  
    The E-19 staff picture pages look best printed on laser or ink jet printers.

 E-19A, B-44A, Labels, Location ID:
    After selecting these options, you will see a general printing dialog box.  Type in the 
    desired LID for the location to print, or typein an NWS state ID (not the same as the 
    postal state ID).  You also have the option to print out only the locations that have 
    changed since a certain date.  After providing all the information, click on OK.

  Lists:
    A pulldown menu will appear asking for the sort order.  The choices are name, LID, 
    Observer, Basin, County.  Lists sorted by Observer will include manned locations only.  
    After clicking on your choice, the list will begin printing.

  Rolodex:
    A pulldown menu will appear asking if you want observers or telemetered gages.  After
    making your selection, the general printing dialog box will appear.  Fill in the information as
    above and click on OK.
