6.  VIEWING THE FORECAST POINT SUMMARY DISPLAY

Selecting this pulldown item shows the flood information summary screen for the current
forecast point.  This screen is for display only and cannot be edited.  This screen contains
much of the information you need for a forecast point during a flood event.

An example of the summary display is shown below, followed by a brief description of the
display.  Refer to Appendix A for details on the field content and format.


                                    Summary Screen 

Critical Stages Section: (this section scrolls)
    It provides the critical stages for which flood damage is defined.  It uses the information which
    has been defined for internal purposes; it does not use the impact statements which are used for
    inclusion in the public products. 

Phone Numbers Section:
    Observer:  The name of the observer who watches the gage
    Phone:     The observer's home phone number
    Telemetry: The type of telemetry device
    Phone:     The phone number of the gage
    Owner:     The owner of the telemetry
Contacts Section: (this section scrolls)
    Contact:   The priority and name of a person concerned with flooding at this location.
    Phone:     The contact's phone number
    Concerns:  Remarks about this contact. 

Crests Section: (this section scrolls)
    The date and stage level of historical flood crests.   
    
Remarks Section:
    Any remarks about flooding at this location.           


When viewing the Summary Display, there are a different set of speed bar commands available
than in the Main screen of the Forms fields. These are described below, with some
descriptions for those speed bar commands that were not previously discussed.

    Lid, Zoom, Again -
                See the descriptions given in Section 5, discussing the Main display.

    Field -   Go into field viewing.  Clicking on this allows you to see all of the current field.  To end
              viewing either press Enter, or click on Field.  This is the same as double clicking on the field
              or pressing Ctrl-F. 

    Prev -    Move to the previous record.  This will move you to the previous LID in the table.  If in a
              scrolling section, this will move you to the previous record for the current LID. This is the
              same as pressing Ctrl-PgUp.

    Next -    Move to the next record.  This will move you to the next LID in the table.  If in a scrolling
              section, this will move you to the next record for the current LID.  This is the same as
              pressing Ctrl-PgDn.

    Done -    Stop viewing and return to the main screen.  This must be done before most other SHIMS
              pulldown commands will work.  This is the same as pressing F2.
