The HydroXC Data Adapter Proof of Concept Demo was hosted on June 21, 2007 from the office of Apex Digital Systems in Silver Spring, MD with consortium members joining via web conference.

Workshop Summary:

During this workshop we demonstrated the SHEF HydroXC data adapter. This demonstration included:

• Conversion from the SHEF binary representation to HydroXC
• Conversion from HydroXC to a SHEF source file
• Mapping to and from internal location data to lat/long pairs
• Mapping of name/value pairs
• Algorithm insertion for value mapping (i.e. invocation of the conversion function instead of mapping the file lookup)

The HydroXC XML Schema Workshop series was hosted on March 22nd – March 23rd 2007 from the office of Apex Digital Systems in Silver Spring, MD with consortium members joining via web conference. The workshop revolved around the sub-schemas preview of HydroXC Schema 3.0.

Workshop Summary

As we have made good progress in further defining what the HydroXC base schema should be able to provide, we would like to share with you where we stand with the schema and object specific sub-schema development on the one side and data interchange and translation on the other. We would like to introduce you to some example object oriented sub-schemas and also the conceptual framework surrounding the translation services to give you a first exposure and collect your feedback. We are at an early enough stage to make necessary changes and perhaps even re-direct our focus before we continue to build out the sub-schema portfolio. After the presentations completed there was a short open discussion to allow for questions and feedback from Consortium members.
