21. Edit Time Series Data

The user can directly view and edit the raw time series data that is used by the preprocessor for any of the stations in the set being displayed. If any of the data are changed, the preprocessor must be re-run before the effects of the change can appear in the IDMA tool.

To edit the raw time series for a station, select the Edit Time Series option under the File menu or the pencil symbol on the tool bar. A dialog will appear with a list of the current set of stations. Select the station you wish to view or edit. The IDMA tool will start the editor specified in the user's EDITOR environment variable and open the relevant time series data file. The file must be saved from the editor before the preprocessor can be re-run.

Note: vi editor does not work with this tool. Set EDITOR variable to nedit, emacs or some other x window editor. The EDITOR variable must be set before running the tool. If you have the tool already running exit it and then set the EDITOR variable.
