NWS Climate Services Seminar Series
In Collaboration With NOAA Climate Connection Team
Sydney Levitus, a pioneer of ocean climate science and ocean warming studies, completed his 39-year career at NOAA's National Oceanographic Data Center in June 2013. Syd made significant contributions to the scientific and ocean data management communities, and promoted the importance of ocean climatologies long before many other climate scientists. Sydney served as director of the Word Data Center for Oceanography and chief of the Ocean Climate Laboratory at NOAA's National Oceanographic Data Center.
