Joel Levy Dr. Levy studied chemistry at the City College of New York and received his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from MIT. He has applied his knowledge to a range of environmental work, mostly in federal agencies such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Global Change Research Program, and NOAA. In his work as a scientist and program manager, he has addressed subjects such as atmospheric chemistry, the effects of aerosols on climate, and ocean observations. He currently serves as a program manager in NOAA's Climate Observations Division, where he contributes to NOAA's efforts to deploy and maintain an open ocean-observing system for climate.
