NCEP Climate Guidance Products Users Workshop December 2, 2004 NOAA’s National Weather Service (NWS) hosted a one-day users’
workshop in the D.C. area on NWS National Centers for Environmental Prediction
(NCEP) climate guidance products. The goal of the workshop was to determine
the specific needs and requirements of private providers, NWS international
partners, and academia for climate guidance products. Requirements gathered
from the workshop will enable the users of climate guidance products to
develop value-added climate products and services, as well as improved
climate forecast and monitoring tools and procedures, based on NWS capabilities.
Furthermore, this workshop aims to initiate an effective dialogue between
NWS and non-U.S. government providers of climate products and services
to ensure that all challenges can be overcome through effective communication
and collaboration. For detailed information about the workshop including the agenda and suggested accomodations, please download the pdf file by clicking here.
