Subject: Soliciting comments on Experimental Hurricane Local

         Statement Interactive Text Reader Through

         November 30, 2014

The NWS is seeking user feedback through November 30, 2014, on

experimental Hurricane Local Statement Interactive Text Reader.

The experimental Hurricane Local Statement (HLS) Interactive Text

Reader is an Internet product which provides users of the HLS an

easier way to extract segmented information for supporting time

and location specific decisions. The product enables users to be

able to mouse over a map of a Weather Forecast Office (WFO) area

and obtain text information on wind, coastal flooding, inland

flooding, and tornado impacts that are expected.

The product will be generated by participating coastal WFOs when

tropical cyclone watches or warnings are in effect for their

respective forecast areas and is updated with each issuance of

the HLS. The product will be available online at:

http://www.nws.noaa.gov/ghls/
