SUBJECT: National Mesonet Partial Data Outage Effective

January 11, 2012.

Effective January 11, 2012, some National Mesonet data

streams provided to the field and external customers

via MADIS have been discontinued until further notice

because of a non-technical reason. These data streams

include:

AWS-Urbanet
AWS-GA Mesonet
AWS-IL Mesonet
AWS-KS Mesonet

The effective date of this change is sooner than specified 
in NWS policy, NWS Instruction 10-1805. The reduction of 
the normal advance lead time was approved.
