Subject:  Buoy 51100 is no longer supported effective

immediately; servicing of Buoy 46089 is planned for

          September 2015

Buoy 51100, northeast of Hawaii, is no longer supported effective

immediately. Buoy 46089, offshore Tillamook, OR, will now be

maintained as part of the NWS weather buoy network. Buoy 46089,

85 nautical miles west northwest of Tillamook, OR, had been

funded by the National Ocean Service (NOS) Coastal Storms Program

(CSP) until 2013. This buoy had been considered unfunded since

then and was to be disestablished this year.

Buoy 51100, 252 nautical miles northeast of Honolulu, HI, is

redundant with Buoy 51000, 245 nautical miles northeast of

Honolulu.

Buoy 51100 will be moved to the Oregon location to cover the gap

associated with the loss of sponsorship and pending

disestablishment of Buoy 46089.
