SUBJECT:  Implementation of Terminal Aerodrome Forecast (TAF)

          service for the Aurora, OR, State Airport (KUAO),

          effective September 12, 2017


The following changes have no impact on NOAA Weather Wire

Service subscribers.


Effective September 5, 2017, at 1800 Coordinated Universal Time

(UTC), the NWS Office in Portland, OR, will begin TAF service

for the Aurora State Airport (KUAO) in Aurora, OR. Routine and

updated TAFS will be issued for this airport 24 hours a day.


NWS personnel will need to add the following identifier to their

communications systems to receive the new TAF:

In addition the new TAF will be added to the existing TAF

collectives below, which are transmitted to Federal Aviation

Administration (FAA) personnel and other external users.

Holders of NWS procedural instruction 10-813 (TAF) should make
