AHPS Implementation Begins in Alaska Region, May 27, 2003

Alaska Pacific Region (AR) is proud to announce the implementation its first two Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service (AHPS) forecast points. They are the Kenai River at Cooper's Landing and the Kenai River at Soldotna. In keeping with the AHPS web consistency agreements, the AR River Forecast Center home page now has the appropriate startup map (this will be replaced with their snow map during the winter and their breakup map in early spring, but will stay in place during open water season). These AHPS web pages meet the CR web standard. To view their new look, you can select "Alaska Pacific River Forecast Center" on the National River Conditions map, or go to their home page at
