Best Practices-
·
Find
flood prone areas but work with EMs/county officials and let them decide where
to install them.
·
Have
them provide post and do the installation
·
Promote
the program through outreach (especially flood awareness week).
·
When
doing post flood event surveys, bring sign along to promote program to town
officials
·
Contact
state DOT to help promote the program. We have provided them with Floyd/TADD posters
and powerpoint slides for dual outreach.
