The ASOS Sensor Simulator (ASENSE) is a PC used to simulate the various sensors connected to the ASOS. With the ASENSE it is possible to test specific weather conditons which otherwise may not be tested in a real environment prior to deployment. It can receive and process data from eight simulated sensors.
