The "Mod Notes" secure link will take you to the latest hardware modification instructions for NWS systems. These documents are used by NWS field electronic technicians to install hardware changes to NWS systems.

The "Release Notes" link will enable you to access the latest software information for the systems under test.

The "Change Management" link will take you to the NWS Requirements/Change Management Branch (OS12) home page. This office is responsible for the management, coordination, and administration of the change process for NWS systems.

The "Configuration Management" secure link will take you to the NWS Configuration Management Branch (OPS13) home page. This office is responsible for the management of site information, baseline documents/drawings, and NWS systems hardware components.

The link to "Service Change Notifications/Technical Implementation Notice" provides a list of Public Information Statements distributed by the NWS. These statements announce the intended change to an NWS system under test prior to any test at an NWS operational site.

The Operations and Services Improvement Process (OSIP) is a standard, systematic, and disciplined process for evaluating needs and opportunities which …

  • Documents requirements and concept of operations which meet the user’s need
  • Develops solutions considering alternatives and corporate perspective
  • Prioritizes resources and provides visibility to the senior managers across the organizations who allocate the resources
  • Provide necessary links to PPBES for defining and requesting resources
  • Provides for better communications between Line Offices

OSIP closes the gap in customer expectations, resulting in far less re-work, and the best use of resources.
