 The
National Weather Service (NWS) Requirements/Change Management Branch,
office code W/OS12, is responsible for the management, coordination,
and administration of the change process for the Advanced
Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS). The AWIPS is
a highly automated and integrated weather information processing, communications,
and display system that is actively deployed to Weather Forecast Offices
(WFO), River Forecast Centers (RFC), and the National Centers for Environmental
Prediction (NCEP).
