NWS presented a Holm Award to Brother Anselm Allen, a monk at the Benedictine Abbey in Subiaco, AR. The Subiaco Abbey has been taking weather observations since 1897. The John Campanius Holm Award was presented to Jon L. Bonnell of West Union, WV. Attending the ceremony were Robert Heflin, Mayor of West Union; Etta Stadler, City Clerk for West Union; and Cline Stansberry, retired teacher and coach. Also attending were NWS Charleston, WV, MIC Alan Rezek, and Hydrometeorological Technicians (HMT) Paul Gilkerson, Marshall Monroe and Randy Hatfield.

On a cool but sunny afternoon in Norwood, CO, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hannigan, right, were presented with the John Campanius Holm Award. NWS MIC Doug Crowley, of Grand Junction, CO, presented the award before 18 of the Hannigans' family and friends. The Hannigans' were also presented with congratulatory letters from United States Senators Wayne Allard and Ben Nighthorse Campbell.

The John Campanious Holm Award was presented to Harlan and Ruby Hinds of Cordell, OK. Harlan and Ruby have taken daily temperature and rainfall readings since 1957. Presenting the award on behalf of NWS Norman, OK, was MIC Mike Foster, center. The presentation was at the First State Bank in Cordell where Harlan is Vice President.
