SUBJECT: Discontinuation of Space Weather Advisory Bulletin
Effective October 5, 2012
Effective Friday, October 5, 2012, at 9:00 AM
Mountain Daylight Time (MDT), 1500 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), the NWS
Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) in Boulder, Colorado, will discontinue
the Space Weather Advisory Bulletin.
Developed many years ago, the Space Weather
Advisory Bulletin was designed to provide space weather information at a level
appropriate for a general audience. Recently, however, SWPC added equivalent general
audience text to its alert, warning, and watch products, tailored specifically
for each category and type of space weather event. For this reason, the
advisory bulletin is no longer needed.
SWPC alerts, warnings, and watches are online at:
http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/alerts/index.html.
To subscribe to these via email, please see:
https://pss.swpc.noaa.gov/LoginWebForm.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fproductsubscriptionservice%2f.
Finally, additional notification and
supplementary information is online in the "Top News of the Day"
section at:
