Southern California Coast Effective April 2,
2013
Effective
Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at 1100 AM Pacific Daylight
Time (PDT) or
1800 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), the NWS
Weather Forecast
Office (WFO) in Los Angeles/Oxnard, CA, will
correct the wording of three of its marine zones. Anacapa and
Santa Barbara
Islands were incorrectly placed in marine zones
PZZ650,
PZZ655, and PZZ676. Only
the names of these marine zones
will be adjusted. The Universal Geographic Codes
(UGC) will not
change and the marine zone boundaries will not
change. All the
other islands in WFO Los Angeles waters are not
affected.
Table 1 lists the
current marine zones that include Anacapa and
Santa
Barbara Islands.
Table 2 lists the
same marine zones with Anacapa and Santa
Barbara Islands
placed in their correct zones.
Table 3 lists the
products issued by WFO Los Angeles affected by
placing the islands in their correct marine zones
effective April
2, 2013:

Users should be
aware of these marine zone name changes within
WFO Los
Angeles/Oxnard marine area of responsibility and make
any adjustments to their systems.
