SUBJECT: Discontinuance of Weather Prediction Center Preliminary

Extended Forecast Discussion Effective April 16, 2013

Effective April 16, 2013, the National Centers for Environmental

Prediction (NCEP) Weather Prediction Center (WPC) will

discontinue the Preliminary Extended Forecast Discussion

(PREEPD). The information contained in the PREEPD is now included

in an Extended Forecast Discussion (PMDEPD) issued by 0700

Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). There is no change to the

PMDEPD issued by 1600 UTC.
