SUBJECT:  Implementation of TAF Service for Battle Mountain

          Airport (KBAM) in Nevada effective: April 24, 2018


NOTE:     The following changes have no impact on NOAA Weather     

          Wire Service subscribers


Effective Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at 1800 Universal Coordinated

Time (UTC), the NWS office in Elko, NV, will begin Terminal

Aerodrome Forecast (TAF) service for Battle Mountain Airport in

Battle Mountain, NV. After that date, routine and updated TAFs

will be issued for this airport 24 hours a day.


NWS personnel/offices will need to add the following identifier

to their communications systems to receive the new TAFs:

In addition, the new TAF will be added to the existing TAF

collectives below, which are transmitted to FAA personnel and

other external users.

FTUS90 KWBC   FAA Weather Message Switching Center and FAA


FTUS52 KWBC   Global Telecommunication System Customers

FTUS24 KWBC World Area Forecast Center (WAFC)


Holders of NWS Procedural Instruction 10-813 (Terminal Aerodrome

Forecasts) should make appropriate additions to the appendices.
