SUBJECT: Amended Date: Upgrade of the NCEP Air Quality
Forecast System Postponed Until Sept.
21, 2010
Amended to postpone effective date for
implementation of the upgrade of the NCEP Air Quality Forecast System from
September 14, 2010, to September 21, 2010.
Effective
Tuesday, September 21, at 1200 coordinated
Universal
Time, the National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) will upgrade the
ozone model run in its operational production suite. This upgrade will provide the following
changes to this system:

Expand the operational ozone prediction domain to add
Once
operational, the output from this enhanced processing
will be available from the NWS National
Digital Guidance
Database
(NDGD) server:
Output
from the new ozone model system is currently being
generated twice daily at NCEP.
