SUBJECT:  Implementation of Terminal Aerodrome Forecast (TAF)

          Service for Space Coast Regional Airport, 

          St. Lucie County International Airport (IAP),

          and for Martin County Airport/Witham Field

          Effective September 27, 2011

 

Effective Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at 1200 Universal

Coordinated Time (UTC), the NWS office at Melbourne FL, will

begin TAF service for Space Coast Regional Airport (KTIX) near

Titusville FL, St. Lucie County International Airport (KFPR)

near Fort Pierce FL, and Martin County Airport/Witham Field

(KSUA), Stuart FL. After that date, routine and updated TAFS

will be issued for these airports 24 hours a day.

 

NWS personnel/offices will need to add the following identifier

to their communications systems to receive the new TAF.

collectives below, which are transmitted to FAA personnel and

other external users.

FTUS90 KWBC   FAA Weather Message Switching Center and FAA

              Facilities

FTUS52 KWBC   Global Telecommunication System Customers

 

Holders of NWS Procedural Instruction 10-813 (Terminal Aerodrome

Forecasts) should make appropriate additions to the appendices.
