the
National Digital Guidance Database
(NDGD), Effective
Tuesday, July 10, 2012, for CONUS
Only
Effective
Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at 1400 Coordinated Universal
Time (UTC), NWS
is making the following three ultraviolet
radiation grids operational in the National Digital
Guidance
Database (NDGD)
for the Conterminous United States (CONUS) only:
-Ultraviolet
Index, for each daylight hour out to 48 hours
-Daily Maximum
Ultraviolet Index, once per day out to 120 hours
-Downward Short
Wave Radiation Flux, for every third daylight
hour out to 120 hours
These grids have
been produced experimentally since March 2011.

derived automatically from the 1200 UTC model run
of the Global Forecast System (GFS) for
CONUS.
