SUBJECT: 2013 Dates for five National Weather Service (NWS)

Upper air Stations to begin use of the RS92-NGP

Radiosonde with the Radiosonde Replacement

Systems (RRS) on or about March 1, 2013.

Five Upper Air (UA) sites are scheduled to transition from the

GPS Lockheed Martin Mark IIA radiosonde to the GPS Vaisala

RS-92 radiosonde on or about March 1, 2013.

No missed observations are expected to occur during the

equipment transition. The WMO Radiosonde Identification
