Build 14 will introduce a new, dynamic scanning method called

Supplemental Adaptive Intra-Volume Low-Level Scan (SAILS). When

activated, SAILS repeats the lowest elevation angle midway

through the volume scan and consequently changes the length of

WSR-88D Volume Coverage Patterns. Products from the supplemental

SAILS slice, N0Q(94/DR) and N0U(99/DV), will be provided via the

NWS Radar Product Central Data Collection Dissemination Service

(RPCCDS) and NOAAPort. Please reference TIN 13-4 for a summary of

these, and other, major changes in Build 14.0 and their impacts.

Information on Build 14 also is on the Radar Operations Center
