Group 5:What actions should NWS take to (a) better understand user needs with respect to expanding and evolving service areas (e.g., aviation, transportation, renewable energy and health) and to (b) provide impact-based, sector-relevant information in these areas?  (Strategic Goal 4)

Group 6: What actions should NWS take to enhance our contributions to integrated NOAA environmental services for human- and ecosystem-related needs?  Examples include: smoke, dust, ozone forecasting, excessive heat and cold, water/beach quality, harmful algal blooms, and dead zones? (Strategic Goal 5)

Group 7: What changes should NWS make to better support our workforce and prepare for a more interdisciplinary approach to operations and service delivery?  Consider needed changes in our    training and recruitment strategies, and in our GS-1301 (Physical Scientist), 1340 (Meteorologist) and 1315 (Hydrologist) standards?
