sequentially as storms form in the Pacific Ocean north of the Equator between 140 W and 180 W.

* Lana formed as Tropical Depression Six-E in the Eastern Pacific and became a Tropical Storm after crossing 140 W, thus taking its name from the Central Pacific name list.
# Felicia formed in the Eastern Pacific before crossing 140 W on August 8 as a Hurricane.
@ Maka re-formed west of the Dateline on August 15.
^ Guillermo formed in the Eastern Pacific before
crossing 140 W on August 16 as a Hurricane.
$ Hilda formed in the Eastern Pacific before crossing 140 W on August 23 as a Tropical Storm.
% Two-C crossed the International Date Line on Aug 29 before dissipating.

 

The Western Pacific name lists are used sequentially as storms form in the Pacific Ocean north of the Equator west of 180 W.
