Prepare for the likelihood of minor flooding of low lying areas. Moderate erosion and high waves are likely. |
| Moderate |
Prepare for the likelihood of coastal flooding of flood prone areas. Significant erosion, high waves, and inundation will cause waterfront and coastal property damage. Tidal flooding similar to that which occurred with the Halloween Nor’Easter of 1991 is possible. |
| High |
Prepare for the likelihood of significant, life-threatening storm surge flooding of coastal locations with tide levels up to 10 feet above MSL. Widespread inundation and damage to roads, infrastructure, and buildings is possible. |
| Extreme |
Prepare for the likelihood of severe, life-threatening storm surge flooding of coastal locations with tide levels of 10 to 30 ft above MSL is possible. Coastal inundation and severe damage to roads, infrastructure, and buildings is likely. |
