• Mentor/Mentee Training Session ----- GEMS Traning Flyer

  The Guidance Equal-Opportunity Mentoring Sessions (GEMS) team is happy to announce their next event!  On January 17th and 18th, a group training session will be held for both mentors and mentees.  The training is being led by a vendor from outside NWS, and is a two day session which will last from approximately 8:30am until 4:30pm on both days.  Day one will consist of morning training for those interested in mentoring, and afternoon training for those interested in being a mentee.  Day two will be combined mentor/mentee training for all participants.  Training will be held in Room 11246.

  It is required that you sign up for the training session so that ample handouts and supplies can be provided.  If you are interested, please send an email to Email:NWS.Gems.OST@noaa.gov, and be sure to indicate whether you are interested in being a mentor or mentee (or both).  As always, please obtain supervisory approval before signing up.   Another training session is being scheduled for mid-September for those unable to attend this one.  More information will be posted on our website http://www.weather.gov/ost/gems/index.html.   All are welcome to attend.
