Science and Technology Infusion Plan (STIP) Review
September 17-18, 2002
Purpose and Overview: The purpose of the two day meeting is for committee review and approval of the NWS Science and Technology Infusion Plan (STIP). The STIP is an S&T guide by which NWS can strategically plan, focus, and coordinate research and development, and operational implementation internally and with partners. The Science Plans Branch of the Office of Science and Technology will present informational briefings in key service and infrastructure areas outlining gaps, potential S&T solutions, and outstanding research and development needs. At the conclusion of the meeting, there will be a roundtable discussion on strengths/weaknesses in the plan and potential S&T investment strategies.
