.DISCUSSION...

Idaho: A ridge of high pressure will be the dominant feature over
the Northern Rockies for the next couple days, leading to above
normal temperatures for much of the week. Thermal belt development
is also expect the next several nights. A few
showers/thunderstorms could develop across Idaho county on Tuesday
afternoon, increasing in coverage by Wednesday afternoon. A
pattern change is still anticipated for the latter part of the
week into the weekend with cooler temperatures and showery
weather.

Montana: A ridge of high pressure will be the dominant feature
over the Northern Rockies for the next couple days, leading to
above normal temperatures for much of the week. Thermal belt
development is also expect the next several nights. A few
showers/thunderstorms could develop across western Montana on
Wednesday afternoon, increasing in coverage for Thursday. The
cooler and showery pattern is still anticipated to last Thursday
into this weekend.
