.A COLD FRONT MOVE WILL ACROSS THE REGION THIS AFTERNOON AND
WILL BRING A RENEWED PUSH OF COLD ARCTIC AIR INTO THE AREA. AIR
TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO FALL TO ZERO TO FIVE BELOW ZERO TO
THE NORTH AND WEST OF CHICAGO TONIGHT...WHICH WILL COMBINE WITH
BLUSTERY NORTHWEST WINDS TO PRODUCE WIND CHILLS AROUND 20 BELOW
ZERO ACROSS MUCH OF FAR NORTHERN ILLINOIS.

LOCATIONS ALONG AND NORTH OF HIGHWAY 30 WILL EXPERIENCE THE COLDEST
TEMPERATURES. THE COMBINATION OF THE COLD AIR AND NORTHWEST WINDS
OF 10 TO 15 MPH WILL CREATE WIND CHILLS OF 20 TO 25 BELOW ZERO.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Illinois..
  Kaskaskia River at Carlyle TW affecting Clinton County

.This Flood Warning is a result of releases from Carlye Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Heavy rains could cause river levels to rise even higher than
predicted.  The National Weather Service will monitor this developing
situation and issue follow up statements as conditions or forecasts
change.

Safety message:  Never drive cars, trucks, or sport utility vehicles
through flooded areas.  The water may be too deep to allow for safe
passage.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Kaskaskia River at Carlyle TW
* until further notice.
* At 10:00 AM Thursday the stage was 426.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 423.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* The river is forecast to continue rising to near 426.0 feet by this
  afternoon. Additional rises may be possible thereafter.
* Impact:  At 424.5 feet...Some cabins just below the dam are
  inundated.
* Impact:  At 423.5 feet...FLOOD STAGE.  Rural damage begins.
  Township roads in Covington become inundated.
* Impact:  At 421.0 feet...Left bank in vicinity of the gage overflows
  with minor flooding of park lands.
