...The flood warning continues for the following river in Kansas...

  Cottonwood River At Cottonwood Falls affecting Chase County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around don`t drown.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Cottonwood River At Cottonwood Falls.
* Until this evening.
* At 6:15 PM Sunday the stage was 9.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
  early this morning.
* Impact...At 10.0 feet...Water covers fields and some rural roads
  along the river. Low areas along the south bank at the gage site
  begin to flood.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WICHITA HAS EXTENDED THE

* FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  RUSSELL COUNTY IN CENTRAL KANSAS...

* UNTIL 1230 PM CDT MONDAY

* AT 1138 PM CDT...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT REPORTED FLOODING IN OVER
  THE BUNKER HILL BRIDGE. UP TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY
  FALLEN.  MINOR FLOODING WILL CONTINUE DUE TO EXCESSIVE RAINFALL
  WHICH OCCURRED EARLIER THIS EVENING.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  RUSSELL...LUCAS...GORHAM...LURAY...DORRANCE...BUNKER HILL...
  PARADISE...WALDO...MILBERGER...WILSON LAKE...
  RUSSELL AIRPORT AND WILSON STATE PARK.

THIS INCLUDES INTERSTATE 70 BETWEEN MILE MARKERS 175 AND 204.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN REPORTED.
STREAM RISES WILL BE SLOW AND FLASH FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED.
HOWEVER...ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SHOULD TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS
IMMEDIATELY.

  The Arkansas River At Arkansas City.
* Until Monday afternoon.
* At  8:00 PM Sunday the stage was 11.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
  early Monday morning.
* Impact...At 11.0 feet...Flooding of agricultural lands can be
  expected with bank overflows on west side of river. West Chestnut
  Avenue west of the river floods.
