THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL
MONTANA...SOUTH CENTRAL MONTANA...SOUTHEAST MONTANA AND NORTH
CENTRAL WYOMING.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

SNOW WILL BE WINDING DOWN TONIGHT AS WARMER AIR AND WESTERLY WINDS
DEVELOP. THERE IS THE CHANCE FOR A WINTRY MIX OF SNOW AND LIGHT
FREEZING RAIN TONIGHT FROM BILLINGS EAST INTO THE DAKOTAS. ROADS
ARE EXPECTED TO BE SLICK OVER THESE LOCATIONS...BUT ANY FREEZING
RAIN WILL FURTHER COMPLICATE ALREADY DIFFICULT TRAVEL CONDITIONS.

STRONG WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP OVER WESTERN FOOTHILLS
LOCATIONS TONIGHT. WINDS GUSTING TO AROUND 60 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED
FROM LIVINGSTON TO NYE OVERNIGHT. AS WINDS INCREASE THERE COULD BE
SOME AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW IN THESE AREAS AS WELL.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

LIGHT SNOW POSSIBLY MIXED WITH FREEZING RAIN WILL CONTINUE TO PUSH
OUT OF SOUTHEAST MONTANA THURSDAY MORNING. BY MID DAY TEMPERATURES
SHOULD BE WARM ENOUGH FOR ANY REMAINING PRECIPITATION TO TURN OVER
TO ALL RAIN. ANY SNOW OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO BE
LIGHT WITH THIS ACTIVITY.

STRONG GAP WINDS FROM LIVINGSTON TO NYE WILL LIKELY CONTINUE INTO
SATURDAY MORNING. GUSTS OF 60 TO 70 MPH ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE
AREAS WITH DANGEROUS CROSSWINDS EXPECTED ON I-90 FROM LIVINGSTON
TO BIG TIMBER.

A SHOT OF ARCTIC AIR WILL ARRIVE LATE FRIDAY NIGHT OR EARLY
SATURDAY. TEMPERATURES BY SATURDAY AFTERNOON WILL LIKELY BE IN THE
TEENS IN MOST LOCATIONS. A PERIOD OF SNOW SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY
COULD PRODUCE WIDESPREAD 2 TO 4 INCH ACCUMULATIONS...WITH HEAVIER
AMOUNTS IN FOOTHILLS AND MOUNTAIN LOCATIONS. TEMPERATURES WILL
REMAIN FRIGID ON SUNDAY BEFORE A WARMING TREND DEVELOPS EARLY
NEXT WEEK. THOSE TRAVELING THIS HOLIDAY WEEKEND SHOULD BE PREPARED
