Mostly clear skies and light winds led to rather chilly Friday
morning lows but we are already on the rebound toward more
seasonable temperatures. Look for the warming to continue through
the weekend, with highs this afternoon in the 70s and trending into
the 80s by Independence Day. Chances for showers and storms will be
low through Sunday with scattered storms possible by Monday
afternoon.

afternoon with low pressure developing in the lee of the Northern
Rockies. Some scattered showers and thunderstorms were located
over eastern Montana and the western Dakotas. Expect this
precipitation to continue moving east through the afternoon. High
temperatures will generally range from the upper 60s northeast, to
the mid 80s in eastern Montana.

only the 60s to low 70s. Clouds will gradually decrease through the
afternoon.

Mostly clear skies and light winds will prevail tonight under high
pressure with lows dropping into the mid 40s.

A gradual warming trend through the 70s and into the 80s is on tap
heading through the holiday weekend, with only low chances for
thunderstorms.

Cooler today with highs in the sixties and seventies. A slow warming
trend is forecast for the next couple days. Highs Friday will be
in the seventies rising to around 80 degrees by Sunday.

Scattered showers are expected early this morning mainly over west
central Minnesota. The next chance for thunderstorms will be
Saturday and Sunday across the Red River Valley.

High pressure extended from Saskatchewan to western South Dakota.
The high pressure system will move over northern Minnesota on
Friday afternoon.
