Weather Summary for the local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
422 AM EDT WED JUN 29 2016
A cold front will push off the East Coast, with weak high pressure
building in behind it. This will allow clouds to diminish. Humidity
levels will also improve, especially for western areas as winds
shift to the northwest here. Eastern sections will still have a
somewhat humid airmass as southwesterly flow continues for much of
the day over these areas. It will be mainly dry, though a passing
shower or thunderstorm cannot be ruled out across portions of
Connecticut. Temperatures will be seasonable, with cooler
conditions at the immediate coast.
Dry and seasonable conditions continue tonight into Thursday with
high pressure over the area.
The next chance for any precipitation comes Friday as a cold front
approaches from the west.
