* THROUGH LATE TONIGHT

* A VERY MOIST SUBTROPICAL AIR MASS CONTINUES TO REMAIN IN PLACE
  OVER MUCH OF NEW MEXICO...AND MANY AREAS HAVE ALREADY OBSERVED
  MODERATE TO LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL. THIS WILL ESCALATE THE
  THREAT FOR FLASH FLOODING TODAY AND TONIGHT AS REPEATED BURSTS
  OF SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY REDEVELOP WITH THE POTENTIAL
  FOR ADDITIONAL PERIODS OF HEAVY RAINFALL. RAINFALL RATES WILL
  COMMONLY APPROACH 1 TO 3 INCHES PER HOUR WITH SOME HEAVIER
  DOWNPOURS POSSIBLE IN LOCALIZED AREAS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD TO
FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLASH
FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
